Hey guys,

The young stars of a popular teen TV series Debra!, scheduled for the chopping block after this season, is leading (along with two others) in nominations for Young Artist Awards. The other two, included in this three-way virtual tie, include the young stars of Disney Channel’s Shake It Up and The Hub Channel’s R. L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour.

Debra!, filmed inToronto,OntarioCanada, has been running on TV only inCanada,IsraelandTurkey. And officials say, after this season it’s a wrap. It focuses on a 14-year-old who wants to make her own company and wants to run it with a boy friend.

Debra’s young stars who received nominations are Will Jester, Niamh Wilson, Austin Macdonald, James Coholan, Camden Angelis and Alicia Josipovic.

Shake It Up, which is being filmed in Los Angeles and airs on the Disney Channel, has had great success, according to officials, its second season getting an increase in episodes.  The sitcom follows the adventures of two girl friends as they perform as background dancers on a local television show.

Sharing nominations are its young stars Bella Thorne, Zendaya, Zayne Emory, Evie Thompson, Caitlin Carmichael, Buddy Handleson, Davis Cleveland, Adam Irigoyen, Kenton Duty, Caroline Sunshine and Roshon Fegan.

R. J. Stine’s The Haunting Hour rounds up the top three television shows to receive the most nominations for its young stars.  A Canadian and American original anthology horror-fantasy series, it is shown on The Hub Channel.  Each episode features a different cast in a scary situation.  The program, filmed inVancouver,Canada, has been renewed for a third season.

Sharing nominations are its episode stars Ricardo Hoyos, Dakota Goyo, Baljodh Nagra, Jason Spevack, Ava Hughes and Jessica Mcleod.
